The Relationship Between Social Support and Social Anxiety of Mothers with Disabilities A study from the perspective of cognitive theory in the Social Case Work

Abstract

               This research aimed to determine the relationship between social support and social anxiety for mothers of people with disabilities. This research was designed within the framework of the descriptive analytical study, and this research relies on the method of a comprehensive social survey of mothers of people with disabilities, consisting of (70) mothers, This research relied on two main tools, which are the social support scale for mothers of people with disabilities (prepared by the researcher), and the social anxiety scale for mothers of people with disabilities (prepared by the researcher). This research aims to answer a main question, which is: What is the relationship between social support and social anxiety for mothers of people with disabilities? The study concluded that the main hypothesis is valid, that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between the scores of the dimensions of the social support scale for mothers of people with disabilities and the dimensions of the social anxiety scale for mothers of people with disabilities.
