Requirements for developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field

The current study aims to identify the requirements for developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field through the following sub-objectives: identifying the cognitive requirements for developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field; identifying the value requirements for developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field; identifying the skill requirements for developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field; identifying the difficulties in developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field; and developing proposed mechanisms for developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field. The study relied on a comprehensive survey of all social workers working in the medical field in Fayoum Governorate, located in government hospitals and healthcare centers where social workers work, totaling (68). The sample included a group of experts and specialists in social services and experts from the Ministry of Health, totaling (20). The study concluded that the level of cognitive requirements for developing digital professional competencies for social workers in the medical field was (high), with an arithmetic mean of (2.71), and the level of value requirements. To develop the digital professional competencies of social workers in the medical field: (high), with an arithmetic mean of (2.60). The level of skill requirements for developing the digital professional competencies of social workers in the medical field: (high), with an arithmetic mean of (2.77). The level of difficulties in developing the digital professional competencies of social workers in the medical field: (high), with an arithmetic mean of (2.75). The level of mechanisms for developing the digital professional competencies of social workers in the medical field: (high), with an arithmetic mean of (2.79). The study concluded with proposals for developing the digital professional competencies of social workers in the medical field.
