Abstract

Background
Field instruction is the heart of social work learning, we can measure the trainee's readiness to the practice, as well as his keenness on theoretical development. this study was conducted to determine the most strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for field instruction as the most component of social work learning programs as a profession concerned with practice. The study focused on identifying the most mechanisms for developing field instruction in social work colleges and institutes in Egypt.
methodology
A SWOT analysis was applied to a sample of (38) faculty members in social work departments, colleges, and institutes, to answer the questionnaire through Google form technology. Data were analyzed by counting frequencies and percentages.
Results:
The study identified weaknesses and strengths in the field instruction elements and the most important field instrustion opportunities and challenges. The study also formulated a set of mechanisms for instruction development.
