Abstract

The devastating effects of the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases, as exemplified by the spread of the Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic on human lives, and the accompanying effects on social and economic development at the global level, and because global health crises threaten to burden the already exhausted health systems, disrupting global supply chains, disproportionately destroying the livelihoods of people, including women and children, and the economies of the poorest and most vulnerable countries. There was an urgent need to build resilient and robust health systems, including vulnerable or fragile groups, and able to effectively implement regulations International health, epidemics in the future may exceed, in the absence of international attention, previous cases of outbreaks in terms of severity and danger, and therefore we stress the utmost importance of awareness, exchange of information, scientific knowledge and best practices, quality education, and advocacy programs on epidemics at all local, national and regional levels and universality, as effective measures to prevent and respond to epidemics by all professions, especially social work, and from this point of view, the research aimed at He is currently determining the requirements associated with the practice of social workers of their professional roles in light of the spread of epidemics, especially the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid 19), and developing a proposed vision from the perspective of general practice with individuals for the roles of social workers, and the study was applied to a sample of (72) working male and female social workers In health care institutions in the regions (Greater Cairo - Lower Egypt - Upper Egypt) and the results of the study reached a set of cognitive, skill, administrative and ethical requirements necessary for social workers to practice their professional roles in light of the spread of epidemics, as well as contributing to improving clients' ability to face their problems and develop their energies Especially for the injured through (problem solving - achieving consensus - capacity development - psychological and social rehabilitation).
