Abstract

The new media, represented by social media, includes some pages and hashtags established by Egyptian activists who are trying to return to the main page that can appear in commentary programs and change it.
Because governments sometimes do not respond to any problem at the time it occurs, in addition to the failure to respond to the problem, which leads to its further aggravation; This led to her appearing on social networks to mobilize collective support, and this is enough to turn the problem into a public opinion issue. For this reason, many resort to a faster way to communicate their complaints, demands, and opinions to the government, through a hashtag on social networking sites, as government agencies interact when public interaction increases through the hashtag demanding specific protection, lifting injustice, or demanding rights. This was confirmed by the results of the study, as the opinions of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate confirmed the impact of hashtags as methods of public pressure on government decisions by forming public opinion and drawing public policy, in a way that enhances the role of the citizen as a participant inappropriate decision-making from the point of view of the government and the citizen alike.
