The quasi-experimental study aimed to test the effectiveness of a proposed program to address the negative effects of non-adaptive cognitive schemes on social support for physically disabled wives. In the experimental approach, semi-structured interview tools and a measure of the impact of non-adaptive cognitive schemas on social support for physically disabled wives were used. The study was conducted on the physically disabled wives who benefited from the services of the Social Rehabilitation Society for People with Special Needs in Sohag Governorate, where they were divided according to their scores on the scale into two groups, one experimental and the other a control group, the experimental group consisted of 10 women, and the control group consisted of 10 women as well. The results confirmed the validity of the study's sub-hypotheses, and the validity of the main hypothesis that there is a statistically significant relationship between the application of the proposed intervention program from the perspective of individual service and the treatment of the negative effects of non-adaptive cognitive schemes on social support for the physically disabled wives.
