Factors leading to athletic excellence for mentally handicapped children and the role of general practice in supporting them

Abstract

Taking care of the gifted and talented, discovering and studying them, and knowing their characteristics, problems, needs and conditions of their upbringing have become a fundamental concern in advanced societies and some developing societies. Objectives of the study: 1- Determining the factors that lead to the athletic excellence of mentally handicapped children. 2- Reaching a proposed conception from the perspective of general practice in supporting it. Study questions: A main question leads to what are the factors that lead to the athletic excellence of children (mentally handicapped) and branch out from the main question the following sub-questions: 1- What are the factors that lead to the athletic excellence of mentally handicapped children related to the handicapped format? 2- What are the factors that lead to the athletic excellence of mentally disabled children related to the family system? 3- What are the factors that lead to the athletic excellence of mentally handicapped children related to the organization's format? 4- What are the factors that lead to the sporting excellence of mentally handicapped children related to the community system. 5- What are the proposals that lead to strengthening the athletic excellence of mentally handicapped children from the perspective of the general practice of social work? The study concluded that the factors that lead to the athletic excellence of mentally handicapped children are due to the handicapped's system, the family's pattern, the institution's pattern, and the society's pattern.
