Obstacles to the professional performance of social workers working in integration schools and the role of group work in alleviating it

Abstract

         The current century is witnessing a remarkable interest in caring for children in general and people with special needs in particular at the global and local levels, as it is one of the elements of development, and one of the forms of this interest is the integration of the disabled in schools. Professionalism in integration schools, the study concepts were determined in (obstacles, professional performance, professional performance obstacles, integration, integration schools, people with special needs), and it is a descriptive and analytical study based on the comprehensive social survey approach for social workers in integration schools in Assiut Governorate, whose number is (63) social workers. Through the application of the questionnaire "obstacles to the professional performance of the social worker in the integration schools", and the study concluded that the level of obstacles as a whole for social workers in the integration schools is high, where the arithmetic mean was (2.86) with a standard deviation of (0.6), where the responses of the specialists in the integration schools included that there are obstacles that hinder their professional performance, whether these obstacles are related to (the social worker himself, Integrated disabled children and their families, ordinary students and their families, in integration schools, in the community).
