Abstract

The study aimed at attempting to identify the New challenging which facing the elderly in the context of the covid-19 crisis, as well as determining the role of social support in alleviating them. The number of (62) singles, and the results indicated that the level of health challenges facing the elderly in light of the Covid 19 crisis, is medium, and that the level of psychological challenges facing the elderly in light of the Covid 19 crisis, is “high.” The results revealed that the level of social challenges facing the elderly in The Covid-19 crisis remained “medium”, and that the level of economic challenges facing the elderly in light of the Covid-19 crisis was “medium”, and the results concluded that the level of social support provided by the social worker to the elderly and his family in light of the Covid-19 crisis was “low”, and the study recommended the need to raise The level of health awareness for the elderly and their families to deal with the Corona pandemic, the need to hold social and psychological programs to rehabilitate the elderly and help them re-engage in society after the crisis, and to hold training programs for social workers in how to social support for the elderly in the face of new challenging.
