Abstract

This study aimed to test the effectiveness of a professional intervention program based on assertive training in developing self-esteem of the orphaned teenage girls. Study sample consisted of (17) items (8) as an experimental group and (9) as control group their ages range between 13-15 years, and the results of the study found significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the average scores of the control group in the post measurement on the self-esteem scale and its sub-dimensions in favor of the experimental group, And there were significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre and post measurement on the self-esteem scale and its sub-dimensions in favor of the post-measurement, and there were no significant differences between the mean scores of the control group in the pre- and post-measurements on the self-esteem scale and its sub-dimensions,Which indicates the effectiveness of assertive training in developing Self-esteem among orphaned adolescent girls.
