Abstract

Non-governmental organizations provide the opportunity for citizens to participate in making decisions related to their lives and funding the organizations' projects, It also plays a major role in various contemporary societies through health, educational and social welfare assistance, It benefits tens of millions of the poor, women, children, orphans, the disabled, the miserable and the marginalized. It also takes care of the major issues that society suffers from such as illiteracy, unemployment and poverty through development programmes, projects and initiatives, Whereas, a decent life initiative is one of the most important development initiatives in Egypt, It aimed to develop the Egyptian countryside, improve citizens' lives, provide services, enhance social protection, reduce poverty, develop the communities most in need, and unify efforts among all state institutions and civil society organizations, especially non-governmental organizations. Where the current study aims to identify the contributions of non-governmental organizations and the strengthening of social welfare services in the light of a decent life.
