Abstract

Education is an essential pillar of modern societies, as it is an investment in human capital, and the phenomenon of dropping out of education is one of the problems that many developing countries suffer from, and that hinder their progress and growth, and this issue is one of the basic indicators to assess the efficiency of the educational system in any country. and the extent of support provided by the community to the educational process, as well as one of the criteria that indicate the extent of the economic, cultural and social progress of this community, There is a group of children who are at risk of school dropout and are still in education and have not dropped out, which requires identifying their problems and setting up a professional intervention program to confront them from the perspective of the social case work method to prevent and avoid school dropouts and to keep them in the education stages, This research aimed at: identifying the problems of children at risk of dropping out and arriving at a professional intervention program from the perspective of the social case work method to confront them, According to its objectives, this study belongs to the type of analytical descriptive studies, and in line with the type and objectives of the study, the researcher used the social survey method for a sample of 125 individuals (from first and second grade students), relying on a questionnaire tool to identify the problems of children at risk of dropping out, The most important results of the study were: Determining the problems of children at risk of dropping out - which were represented in: problems related to each of: academic aspects, family aspects, psychological aspects, social aspects, health aspects. The study also found a program for professional intervention from the perspective of the social casework methodto confront them.
