Abstract

The study aimed to determine the relationship between the life satisfaction and social anxiety for widows and divorcees, to test the differences between widows and divorced women on the scales of life satisfaction and social anxiety, and to develop indicators for the role of the social worker in facing their social anxiety. The study belongs to comparative analytical descriptive studies and using the social survey method with a simple random sample, consisting of (280) widows and (280) divorcees. Significant (0.01). While there is a negative, statistically significant correlation between the average degrees of life satisfaction and (evasion behavior - and expectation of failure) from the social situations of divorced women at the level of significance (0.05), and the study found that there were no significant differences between the mean scores of both widows and divorced women on the two scales of satisfaction with life and social anxiety.
