The Relationship between Neuroticism and Future Anxiety of Foundlings in Institutions

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the relationship between neuroticism and future anxiety among those of unknown parentage, and it also aimed to reveal the differences between males and females in neuroticism and future anxiety. The sample of the study consisted of (40) people of unknown parentage residing in the House of My Sons for Girls and the House of My Sons for the Boys Branch Their ages ranged between (15:18) years, and the Eysenck Scale was applied for the neuroticism dimension, and the Future Anxiety Scale for Zainab Shukair 2005 was applied,The study concluded that there is no statistically significant correlation between neuroticism and future anxiety (sub-dimensions and total degree) among males of unknown parentage in residential institutions, and the existence of a relationship of unknown female parentage in residential institutions,. And there were statistically significant differences between males and females of unknown parentage in the first dimension (anxiety about future life problems) in the direction of males of unknown parentage, and there were no differences between males and females in the dimensions of future anxiety (negative vision of life, despair of life, anxiety about failure and the total score) among Of unknown parentage, males and females, in residential institutions, and in the total degree of future anxiety, There are no statistically significant differences between males and females of unknown parentage in neuroticism.
