Substance use disorder and its relationship to suicide in a sample of adolescents

Abstract

This study is considered one of the descriptive studies that aims to identify the demographic characteristics of the research sample, as well as to identify the parental treatment methods (for the father - for the mother) and their relationship to drug disorder in the research sample, and to identify the relationship between the susceptibility to suicide and the demographic characteristics of the research sample, where the study was conducted on A sample of adolescents attended the outpatient clinic and the internal department for adolescent addiction at Helwan Hospital for Mental Health. Helwan Hospital for Mental Health is located in the south of Cairo. It provides services to adolescents in both urban and rural areas. The study reached the following results: Patients had different levels in terms of severity of addiction. 20% of adolescents have an excessive and permanent problem with the use of narcotic substances, while 24% of adolescents have a very big problem with the use of narcotic substances, and the percentage of industrial cannabis (astrox or voodoo) is 84%, and the percentage of cannabis abuse is 72%, and the feeling of despair in the sample 32.28, and the results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two tribal measurements of the sample and control groups in the picture related to the father in terms of the test of control, control and pregnancy. The verse of excess and fluctuation, and while there are no statistically significant differences between the two tribal measurements of the two groups, the sample and the control, in the picture related to the father in terms of the differentiation test and the methods of normal treatment.
