Abstract

Cerebral palsy is one of the types of disabilities that afflict a person and is accompanied by some other disabilities. It appears through cerebral palsy or brain damage. It is a disability that affects movement and the body. It results from damage to the brain before, at, or after the birth of a child while he is an infant. Brain damage does not occur. In its entirety, but only parts of it, especially its parts that control movements, and there are about one or two children out of every thousand children who suffer from cerebral palsy, and it can affect males and females in different environments, and recently some types of cerebral palsy have become more common, and this is due to the continuous increase In the care of underweight and premature children, which led to a reduction in their mortality rate, and cerebral palsy is one of the main and important causes of motor and mental disability for children. Internal pressures and external pressures. The internal pressures on the individual may come from the negative organic and psychological effects that result from behavioral mistakes. As for the external pressures, the source may be from work, study, family pressures, etc. Environmental pressures, raising children, disease pressures, economic pressures and various crises, and given that the families of people with cerebral palsy face various problems, including social, health, biological, psychological problems and economic problems as well. The method of social casework is one of the methods of the social work profession that has effective practices in the field of caring for the disabled and their families, satisfying their needs and facing their multiple problems, by using different scientific models and theories, where many researchers were interested in using different scientific models and theories in their practice to reduce problems Families of the disabled in general and families of people with cerebral palsy in particular, hence this research that deals with the presentation and analysis of the latest international and local research that dealt with the approaches and models social casework in social work, which discussed the problems facing the families of children with cerebral palsy.
