Some social effects of cyberbullying among university students A study on King Saud Students University

Abstract

        This study is considered a descriptive study, as the descriptive design is in line with the problem being studied. The descriptive research seeks to study the current facts about the nature of the phenomenon or the problem. Sub-goals that support the main objective: - Identifying the reality of the spread of cyberbullying among university students. Identify sites where cyberbullying is common. Identify the social effects of cyberbullying. Identify the academic effects of cyberbullying. Identify the reaction of students who are subjected to cyberbullying. - To identify if there are statistically significant differences between the sexes in exposure to cyberbullying. The results of the study revealed that (67.8%) of the male and female students had never been exposed to cyberbullying, while (32.2%) had ever been exposed to cyberbullying. There is a lot of cyberbullying, and that the sample of male and female students at King Saud University in the city of Riyadh agrees strongly with the axis of “social problems resulting from cyberbullying among students,” and that the sample of male and female students at King Saud University in Riyadh agrees with the axis of “academic problems resulting from bullying.” among students, where the general arithmetic mean of the axis of academic problems resulting from cyberbullying among students was (3.78) and a standard deviation (0.82).
