Abstract

The researcher followed the mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) to reach useful results and reduce the weaknesses in the results of the study. The data collection tool is the in-depth interview with specialists at the Family Reconciliation Office at the Qatari Family Court, and a questionnaire for the beneficiaries who frequent the Family Reconciliation Office at the Qatari Family Court. The study sample included (10) consultants, (50) beneficiaries (men/women). The result of the study showed that many members of the Qatari society do not have knowledge or experience of the Family Reconciliation Office in the Qatari Family Court, its importance, coordination, and transfer mechanisms between the relevant institutions, as well as the high incidence of family disintegration in the Qatari society because of the ineffectiveness of awareness mechanisms and courses for marital life before marriage. The results also showed the challenges of how to communicate with the Family Reconciliation Office since the beginning of the problem, which affects its exacerbation. One of the challenges is the lack of coordination and cooperation with the relevant social institutions, and the failure of the media to play its positive role in educating Qatari society about the importance of the Family Reconciliation Office and its goals. Finally, one of the recommendations of the study is the importance of coordination and networking between the Family Reconciliation Office and the relevant social institutions to contribute to solving problems and providing material, moral and social support in a quick and binding manner.
