The significance of social capital in supporting civil society organizations to achieve their goals.

Abstract

          In light of the weakness and shortcomings that befall civil society organizations, and what some of them have called for regarding the importance of social capital in confronting these obstacles and its usefulness in enhancing and strengthening the capabilities of civil society organizations to achieve their goals and development requirements in society, the current study seeks to determine the truth about the ability of social capital to Strengthening civil society organizations in order to achieve their goals, which is a descriptive study, applied to (the Orman Association), Cairo Governorate, and its results revealed the weakness of civil society organizations’ use of social capital in strengthening their human, organizational and financing capabilities. There are a number of obstacles that prevented this from being achieved, the most important of which is the weakness the capabilities of employees in organizations and the weakness of financial capabilities. The study came up with a proposed vision for activating the use of social capital in civil society organizations in a way that contributes to achieving their goals.
