Abstract

The main objective of this study is determined to: identify local tourism and its impact in enhancing the social dimensions of sustainable development in accordance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, from the main objective emerges a set of sub-objectives, the most important of which are the following: identifying the impact of local tourism in enhancing the social dimensions of sustainable development, Identifying the challenges facing the local tourism sector in the Kingdom, identifying the proposed mechanisms and procedures in light of Vision 2030 to develop the local tourism sector, presenting proposals to improve the local tourism sector in the Kingdom, the researcher also relied on the electronic questionnaire as a tool for collecting information and data due to its suitability for the current study, which achieves the aspect The field part of the study with regard to those interested and employees, based on the objectives of the study, its questions, its methodology, and the nature of its subject, especially with the difference and diversity of the study population, and because it is considered one of the best methods for collecting data from the study sample, especially in humanitarian studies, and the results of the study reached the following: There is an impact For local tourism in enhancing the social dimensions of sustainable development with an average of (4.48), the results showed that: the education and training dimension ranked first with an average of (4.64), then the social participation dimension ranked second with an average of (4.49), then after reducing the problem of poverty came in third place with an average of (4.42), and in fourth and last place came after women’s empowerment, with an average of (4.36).
