Evaluation the effectiveness of NGOs services in confronting poverty in slums

Abstract

The current study aims to identify the services provided by NGOs to confront poverty in slum areas, identify obstacles to access to services provided by NGOs to confront poverty in slum areas, and identify proposals to increase the effectiveness of services provided by NGOs to confront poverty in slum areas, and the study was applied to a sample of (21) officials in NGOs in Aswan, the study used a questionnaire to collect data, and used the comprehensive survey methodology, The study reached several results: that social welfare services are the most services provided by NGOs to the poor according to the opinions of officials, that the rigidity of regulations and legislation for NGOs is the most obstacles to obtaining the services of NGOs in slum areas, that the introduction of some amendments to the regulations of NGOs is the most important proposals to increase the effectiveness of NGO services to face poverty in slum areas.
