Abstract

The current study aimed at identifying the dimension of school climate from the viewpoints of high school students. It also sought to investigate the level of their psychosocial adjustment. The relationship between school climate and level of psychosocial adjustment among the study participants was also explored. To achieve the aforementioned objectives, the researcher prepared both scales of school climate and psychosocial environment. Verifying their validity and reliability, they were administered to a random sample that comprised (346) male and female 1st grade high school students within Mit Ghamr Educational District. Results indicated that the level of school climate dimensions was moderate. Likewise, the level of psychosocial adjustment dimensions was moderate. There was a positive relationship between both variables. Accordingly, the study provided a suggested paradigm for improving school climate and psychosocial adjustment among high school students.
