Professional intervention of community organization method to develop the negotiation skills of student unions members

Abstract

This study aimed to test the professional intervention program from the perspective of community organization to develop the negotiation skills of members of student unions. It is considered one of the semi-experimental studies that relied on the semi-experimental methodology for members of the Student Union Council of the Faculty of Social Work, Assiut University. The study used two tools: (a questionnaire form to study assessment The position, negotiation skills scale of the members of the Student Union Council included six main dimensions), The study concluded that there is a positive, statistically significant relationship between professional intervention of community organization method and the development of negotiation skills (persuasion skill, communication skill, decision-making skill and problem-solving skill, group thinking skill, establishing relationships and gaining cooperation, and good dialogue skill) among members of student unions, Thus, the main hypothesis is proven to be correct, which is the existence of a statistically significant relationship between professional intervention of community organization method and the development of negotiation skills among members of student unions, The study recommends increasing negotiation knowledge among student union members, holding specialized training courses in negotiation skills, and creating a positive environment that helps develop negotiating skills.
