Abstract

This study belongs to the quasi-experimental studies, because it seeks to test the validity or falsity of the study hypothesis, by testing the effect of an independent variable, which is practicing the interactive model with rural youth groups, on a dependent variable, which is developing awareness of the dangers of electronic rumors on them and on society. In line with the type of study, the researcher used the experimental method using one experimental group, due to the lack of a number that allows the formation of more than one group. The researcher also used the experimental design that relies on the (pre-post) experiment using one group, numbering (12) individuals with whom the researcher intervenes. The researcher applied the pre-measurement to the group before implementing the professional intervention program, then applied the professional intervention program with the same group, then the post-measurement after the end of the program. To find out the difference between the two measurements, the data collection tools were (the scale of awareness of the dangers of electronic rumors, periodic reports after each meeting, simple observation). The results showed that there were differences between the pre- and post-measurement in favor of the post-measurement, which proved the validity of the study hypotheses.
