The current study aims to identify the challenges facing early intervention with Disabled people from the point of view of experts and specialists in the field of care for the disabled. It is a descriptive study that adopted the qualitative approach according to the case study method and using the interview tool on a sample of (10) specialists and experts working with Disabled people and their families in charitable societies and centers specialized in caring for the visually impaired. The current study reached a number of results, the most important of which is that there are various obstacles facing the provision of early intervention services for children with visual disabilities, namely: 1. Community obstacles, represented by the lack of accurate statistics on cases of visual impairment, the lack of a referral system from hospitals to centers and charitable societies specialized in visual impairment, the small number of graduates and experts in working with Disabled people and their families, in addition to the lack of early intervention centers and charitable societies specialized in visual impairment, in addition to weak coordination between the relevant ministries. 2. Institutional obstacles, represented by: the lack of a complete multidisciplinary team to work with Disabled people, the lack of standardized evaluation standards, the lack of experience of practitioners in using standards, and the lack of an individual family plan to work with The family as well as the lack of research in the field of early intervention and its importance. 3. Family obstacles, which are represented in: the family's lack of awareness of the importance of early intervention in early childhood and their ignorance of the various services provided to them in the community and the family's lack of cooperation with specialists in implementing the individual family plan in a way that achieves the best interests of the child with visual impairment. The current study recommended the following: The necessity of activating the role of the medical social specialist in working with the visually impaired and their families by providing support and guidance from the moment the child is diagnosed with visual impairment and directing and guiding cases to the specialized centers and associations. The importance of activating various media in raising awareness of visual impairment and raising families' awareness of the importance of early intervention, and expanding the establishment of centers for early intervention with children with visual impairment at the level of the regions of the Kingdom. Providing an integrated work team and preparing it to work with the visually impaired from various specialties (early intervention specialist, special education specialist, social specialist, psychologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist and orientation and movement specialist. Developing early detection tools and using appropriate tools to evaluate and diagnose the visually impaired.
