Abstract

The study aimed to identify the social return of vocational and craft training workshops provided to productive Saudi families and to propose recommendations for maximizing the social return from these workshops as part of capacity-building programs for productive families. The research employed the social survey method using a random sample of 228 productive families benefiting from the "A'mal" Family Development Association in Riyadh. Data was collected through a questionnaire as the primary research tool. The key findings revealed that the study sample strongly agreed on the social return of the vocational and craft training workshops provided to productive families through the capacity-building program by the "A'mal" Family Development Association. These returns include increased self-esteem, the ability to manage life affairs, enhanced desire to contribute positively to the social environment, and reduced stress in project management. The findings also showed strong agreement among the sample on proposals to maximize the social return of the training workshops, such as providing training opportunities for productive families in various fields, instilling the value of lifelong learning for productive families, and focusing on developing their essential skills.
