Therefore, the current study sought to test the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy in serving the individual to develop altruistic behavior for adolescents deprived of family care. The altruistic behavior scale was used for adolescents deprived of family care, and it was applied to an experimental sample of (11) individuals from adolescents deprived of family care who are placed in shelter institutions using the quasi-experimental approach, relying on a sample, one of which is experimental. The other is a control and its results reached the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy in serving the individual to develop altruistic behavior in its dimensions (empathy with others - helping others - participat with others). The study concluded with developing future research proposals on altruistic behavior due to its novelty in Social Work.
