The relationship between digitization and the development of health services in the health sector: an applied study in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the relationship between digitization and the development of health services in the health sector: an applied study in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. The study sample consisted of (301) workers in the health sector. The study tools were a questionnaire. The results of the study concluded that there is a positive correlation between the dimensions of digitization and the dimensions of health services in the health sector. There is also a positive correlation between the dimensions of digitization and the variable of health services in the health sector. There is also a positive correlation between the dimensions of digitization and the dimension of empathy in the health sector. There is also a positive correlation between the dimensions of digitization and the dimension of credibility in the health sector. There is also a positive correlation between the dimensions of digitization and the dimension of accreditation in the health sector. There is also a significant difference in the attitudes of health sector workers regarding the dimensions of digitization according to demographic variables (gender, age group, educational qualification, years of experience). The research recommended the need to develop the digital infrastructure for health facilities in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region by providing modern systems that facilitate the management of health data.
