Evaluating the effectiveness of the programs of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse in developing life skills among volunteer groups

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse in developing life skills among volunteer groups, determining the level of life skills of volunteers benefiting from the programs, identifying the obstacles facing those responsible for implementing the program to reach proposals to activate the contributions of programs in the development of life skills among volunteer groups. This research belongs to the evaluation studies, and it relied on the comprehensive social survey approach for volunteers benefiting from the programs, as well as the comprehensive survey of officials in the volunteer unit of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction in Assiut Governorate, where it was applied to the volunteers benefiting from the programs and their number reached (90) single, and the unit's officials reached (12) single, and the study was applied to the volunteer unit of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction in Assiut Governorate, in the period (from July 2024 AD to November 2024 AD),and the results of the study proved the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse in developing life skills among volunteer groups, and that the level of life skills of volunteers benefiting from the programs came at a high level with a weighted average of (2.71) and a standard deviation of (0.79).
