The role of information and communication technology infrastructure in achieving beneficiary satisfaction at King Abdullah Medical Complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the role of e-health in achieving beneficiary satisfaction in the Saudi health sector through an applied study on King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah. The study also aimed to determine the role of the availability of information and communication technology infrastructure in achieving beneficiary satisfaction at King Abdullah Medical Complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also aimed to determine the role of mobile health (mHealth) in achieving beneficiary satisfaction at King Abdullah Medical Complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also aimed to determine the role of telemedicine in achieving beneficiary satisfaction at King Abdullah Medical Complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study also aimed to determine the role of the scope of using electronic systems in achieving beneficiary satisfaction at King Abdullah Medical Complex in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The descriptive analytical approach was relied upon; Which expresses the accurate and detailed description of the social phenomenon to be studied in a qualitative or quantitative numerical form, and the study community is the group of elements or individuals that are the focus of interest in a specific study, and in other words, it is all the elements related to the research problem, and the study community consists of beneficiaries of e-health services provided at the King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and according to data from the Saudi Ministry of Health for the year 2024, the number of beneficiaries of these services during the year 2023 amounted to approximately (85,000) beneficiaries. The results showed the existence of a significant relationship between the dimensions of e-health and achieving the efficiency of service provision, as the stepwise regression model for the regression of the dependent variable (achieving the efficiency of service provision) on the independent variables (dimensions of e-health) showed.
