Value and cultural characteristics of poor groups: A qualitative study applied to the poor in the Riyadh region

Abstract

The problem of this study was based on the interest in the problem of poverty, as it is still one of the most troubling problems for societies and the first obstacle to development, as it limits the progress and development of society. Poverty is the most disturbing problem for governments, countries and international organizations during the last century and the current century, especially after the follow-ups of the progress of countries in combating it and limiting its spread as a social and economic phenomenon, which makes many of those who suffer from it vulnerable to other problems such as crime, ignorance and disease, as these problems form the corners of the poverty square, and the impact of its effects on the groups of society differs according to their differences, so we find children, women and the elderly suffering more from the effects of poverty due to their direct impact on the negative effects that result from it. The study aims to identify the value and cultural characteristics associated with the expansion of the circle of poverty from the point of view of the poor, in order to reach proposals and recommendations to protect them from falling into poverty. This study is one of the descriptive studies that aim to describe the phenomenon studied and describe its special circumstances in order to reach a set of results that describe the phenomenon that is the subject of the study,
