The Role of Intellectual Capital in Achieving Business Prosperity: An Applied Study

Abstract

     Objective: The current study aimed to clarify the moral relationship between intellectual capital (in its various dimensions) and work prosperity (in its various dimensions) at Al-Bukayriyah General Hospital in Qassim. To achieve this goal, the current study adopted the descriptive analytical approach. The study community includes all employees at Al-Bukayriyah General Hospital in Qassim, numbering (490) individuals at different job levels, and according to the records of documents in the Human Resources Department under study, represented by (doctors - nurses - technicians), they were selected in a random sample of (490) workers at different job levels in the hospital. The questionnaire was used as the main tool for the field study and the (SPSS) program to analyze the data. The study concluded with several results: Customer capital (relationships) is the most available dimension of intellectual capital at Al-Bukayriyah General Hospital in Qassim. There is a moral relationship between intellectual capital in its various dimensions and emotional components at Al-Bukayriyah General Hospital in Qassim. Meaning that by increasing intellectual capital and its dimensions, the level of emotional components at Al-Bukayriyah General Hospital in Qassim increases. There are significant differences between the opinions of the research sample about intellectual capital (in its various dimensions) at Al-Bukayriyah General Hospital in Qassim according to their demographic characteristics (gender - age - job level - years of experience). The study also recommended a number of recommendations: establishing a reward system to provide rewards to employees who contribute innovative ideas or improvements, periodically evaluating the performance of employees and rewarding individuals and teams through certificates of appreciation or awards, in kind and in cash, using advanced technologies to analyze data and improve decision-making, and creating internal communication platforms to facilitate the exchange of information. Linking it to relevant external platforms, conducting surveys to measure employee satisfaction and collect their opinions on improving the work environment and their most prominent needs for development and improvement, working to implement valuable suggestions received from employees, developing partnerships with educational institutions and cooperating with universities and institutes to provide joint training programs. It contributes to developing intellectual capital and developing the work environment.
