Abstract

The current study aimed to measure the impact of a training program on developing social innovation among female social work students. The study adopted a quasi-experimental approach with an equivalent group design as one of the experimental designs (experimental group - control group). The tools of the current study consisted of: a social innovation development scale - a guide for implementing the training program, which was used in the professional intervention on the experimental group without the control group. The study sample consisted of a purposive sample of (20) female social work students at King Saud University in Riyadh. The results of the study revealed statistically significant differences between the independent variable (experimental program) and the dependent variable (social innovation) in the post-test in favor of the experimental group. This was based on the differences between the pre- and post-tests on the social innovation scale. This confirms the validity of the main study hypothesis, due to the impact of implementing the training program on developing social innovation. The study recommended:
