Social protection mechanisms for persons with disabilities from the perspective of community organization

The current study aimed to identify the mechanisms of social protection for persons with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method, by identifying the reality of (empowerment- advocacy- social integration- community rehabilitation) as a mechanism for social protection for persons with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method, in addition to identifying the most important proposals to activate the mechanisms of social protection for persons with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method. This study is one of the descriptive analytical studies that aim to identify the mechanisms of social protection for persons with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method. In line with the type of study, the researcher used the comprehensive social survey method, and the original community of the current study consisted of (111) workers in the Social Rehabilitation Association for the Disabled in Beheira Governorate. The researcher relied on the questionnaire tool to collect data. The results of the study confirmed that the reality of empowerment as a mechanism for social protection for persons with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method was represented in: supporting vocational training and rehabilitation centers to provide persons with disabilities with skills that enable them to work professionally, mobilizing resources and capabilities to confront the problems of persons with disabilities, and that the reality of advocacy as a mechanism for social protection for persons with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method was represented in: mobilizing persons with disabilities to increase awareness of their rights Community, seeking to provide integrated institutional care for people with disabilities, and that the reality of social integration as a mechanism for social protection for people with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method, may be represented in: providing the opportunity for all people with disabilities to receive equal education, expanding the establishment of specialized social clubs to care for people with disabilities, and that the reality of community rehabilitation as a mechanism for social protection for people with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method, may be represented in: expanding the establishment of community-based rehabilitation projects, training workers in rehabilitation institutions for people with disabilities to raise their efficiency, and that the most important proposals to activate social protection mechanisms for people with disabilities from the perspective of the community organization method, may be represented in: providing safety nets and social security for people with disabilities, activating the participation of the media in demanding the rights of people with disabilities in society, the necessity of developing a culture of social capital among people with disabilities.
