Abstract

Innovative abilities are the ability to produce a number of original and unusual ideas by searching for unfamiliar ways to solve a new or old problem. This requires fluency, flexibility, originality, and the ability to develop solutions to problems and detail or expand them in response to a situation or problem. It is one of the most common and widespread problems in educational institutions of all kinds. It is considered an indicator of the existence of a defect that hinders and impedes creativity and innovation in university life. This research aims to "test the relationship between the uses of a professional intervention program in the method of social group work and developing innovative abilities (fluency, flexibility, originality, sensitivity to problems) among academically struggling university students." The research also sought to test a main hypothesis, which is "It is expected that there will be significant statistical differences between the use of a professional intervention program in the method of social group work and developing the innovative abilities of academically struggling students." This research belongs to quasi-experimental studies, and the research relied on the experimental method, as it was applied to a single experimental group consisting of (20) individuals. The research results reached the validity of all research hypotheses, and thus achieved all research objectives.
