Abstract

The study aimed to determine the level of palliative care provided to breast cancer patients, determine level of social isolation, and also determine the relationship between palliative care and alleviating social isolation of breast cancer patients, The study is considered one of the descriptive studies that used the comprehensive social survey approach for breast cancer patients, the size of the study community was (63) individuals. The study relied on two tools: a questionnaire tool for patients to determine the level of palliative care, which included dimensions of evaluating the patient's condition, the treatment plan, continuous follow-up, and the obstacles facing palliative care in serving the individual and its relationship to alleviating the problems of social isolation of breast cancer patients and proposals to activate palliative care, and a scale to determine the level of social isolation, which included dimensions of communication, family containment, withdrawal, affectionate sizes, emotional emptiness, and interaction with friends. The results of the study also concluded that the level of social isolation among breast cancer patients was (average), and the level of palliative care provided to breast cancer patients was high, and it became clear that there is no significant relationship between palliative care and alleviating social isolation for breast cancer patients..
