Requirements for professional practice in social service via social media for social workers working in social work institutions in the Hebron Governorate under the Israeli occupation
This study aimed to identify the requirements of professional practice in social service via social media among social workers working in social service institutions in the Hebron Governorate under the Israeli occupation. It also aimed to determine the differences between the averages of professional practice requirements in social service via social media among social workers working in social service institutions attributed to the variables: (gender, age, number of years of experience, academic qualification, type of institution). The sample consisted of (226) social workers. The study used the questionnaire tool, where the researchers tested the validity of the study tools by calculating the Pearson correlation coefficient. All coefficients were statistically significant. The results indicated that the value requirements came in first place, technical requirements came in second place, cognitive requirements came in third place, skill requirements came in fourth place, and administrative requirements came in fifth and last place. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences between the requirements of professional practice in social service via social media among social workers working in social service institutions attributed to the variables: (gender, age, number of years of experience, and type of institution), It also showed the presence of statistically significant differences attributable to the educational qualification variable and the researchers recommend promoting these good practices and encouraging social workers to continue developing their skills in this field.
