Abstract

The aim of the study was to examine the effectiveness of mindfulness therapy in social case work and in reducing social anxiety among adolescent drug addicts. To achieve the research objective, a quasi-experimental approach was employed by comparing the pre-test and post-test results of a single experimental group. The findings confirmed the validity of the main hypothesis as well as the sub-hypotheses, indicating the effectiveness of the professional intervention program based on mindfulness therapy in social case work and in alleviating social anxiety among the study sample of adolescent drug addicts.
