Abstract

The study aimed to verify the effectiveness of a professional intervention program using dialectical behavioral therapy in social case work in reducing violence among university youth. This study belongs to the experimental studies pattern, and the study relied on the experimental method which uses pre-measurement and post-measurement using two groups, an experimental group and a control group, each group includes (10) items. The study relies on the scale of violence among university youth with its four dimensions (verbal violence, physical violence, psychological violence, violence against university property) as a tool for collecting data. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the pre- and post-measurement in favor of the post-measurement of the experimental group, which indicates the positive impact of the professional intervention program using dialectical behavioral therapy in social case work in reducing violence among university youth.
