Abstract

A large number of school-age children suffer from difficulty concentrating and paying attention, without being properly identified or diagnosed. This leads to poor academic performance, diminished self-confidence, and poor social relationships. This makes it imperative to study this disorder in a systematic, scientific manner., This research aims to shed light on attention deficit disorder in primary school children in terms of its causes, symptoms, impact on academic and social performance, and methods of diagnosis and treatment as one of the common neuropsychiatric disorders that affect the quality of life of the child in multiple aspects, most notably the educational and social aspects., Understanding the nature of this disorder is crucial for teachers, parents, and educational professionals, given its direct impact on a child's performance in the classroom, their ability to concentrate, complete tasks, and interact with others.
