Abstract

The research aims to identify the determinants of using artificial intelligence applications in planning for rural community development, applying them to the National Program for the Development and Improvement of Egyptian Villages at the Ministry of Local Development, and to identify the caveats and obstacles to using artificial intelligence applications in planning for rural community development. In order to reach a forward-looking vision for employing artificial intelligence applications in planning for rural community development, the current study belongs to the style of descriptive forward-looking studies and used the descriptive approach using the social survey method in its two types (comprehensive for officials in the National Program for the Development and Improvement of Egyptian Villages) and (sample for experts). The questionnaire was applied to officials in the National Program for the Development and Improvement of Egyptian Villages at the Ministry of Local Development, as well as to development and planning experts at Egyptian universities and some field experts in the field of rural local development. The study reached the most important results, the identification of the determinants of using artificial intelligence applications in planning for rural community development, and the identification of the most important structural and methodological caveats and obstacles that prevent the use of artificial intelligence applications in planning for rural community development. A forward-looking vision was also reached for using artificial intelligence applications as a variable in social planning for rural community development
