Administrative control and achieving institutional excellence in healthcare institutions

The current study aimed to determine the relationship between administrative control and achieving institutional excellence in the Health Affairs Directorate in Assiut Governorate. It was a descriptive study using the comprehensive social survey method for employees in the Health Affairs Directorate in Assiut Governorate, numbering (78) employees. The study also used a questionnaire directed to employees in the Health Affairs Directorate in Assiut Governorate. The results of the study showed the existence of a strong positive and statistically significant correlation between administrative control and all dimensions of institutional excellence in the Health Affairs Directorate in Assiut Governorate, where the correlation coefficients ranged between (0.659) and (0.688) and all of them at a significance level of (0.500). The strongest relationship was between administrative control and improvement projects, followed by the relationship with strategic direction, then self-assessment, and finally, the dissemination of a culture of quality. This confirms the importance of administrative discipline in supporting institutional performance and achieving excellence. These results support the validity of the main hypothesis and all sub-hypotheses, indicating that a high level of administrative control directly contributes to improving excellence practices and reinforces the need to develop oversight, training, and governance tools within healthcare institutions.
