Abstract

Virtual communities based on the use of Internet networks come at the head of these new forms of societies that have emerged recently. In this context, the Internet, which is one of the achievements of the communication revolution, has contributed to the formation of a new space that is a new framework for social relations across nationalities and places. It is known that a social group is a group of individuals. They share common values ​​and a sense of belonging, and they live in a single geographical-spatial environment governed by values There are norms upon which they meet and agree among themselves on means of deterrence and the rules of social control that control what happens between them in terms of relationships, but the Internet has contributed to the formation of relationships that go beyond the spatial physical framework and face-to-face interaction and the form of its users, especially those who share common interests, groups called virtual groups, which are A new form of human interaction. These gatherings consist of a group of individuals who use computers or laptops to communicate with each other. This differs from face-to-face communication, The study aimed to reduce the negative effects of users of virtual groups of undergraduate students, and aimed to achieve several sub-goals, including reducing the negative effects on the personal inclinations of undergraduate students, as well as reducing the negative effects on the societal culture of undergraduate students, as well as reducing the negative effects on national identity. For undergraduate students, results were reached, including working to educate students in different educational stages, especially university youth, about how to use social media networks, working to develop their critical thinking so that they can sort out the ideas and opinions presented to them, and not be swayed by destructive calls that harm stability and security Community Opportunities to participate in society and increase the sense of belonging through the exchange of knowledge, consensus, and cooperation among members.
