Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to test the effectiveness of the professional intervention program for the preventive approach from the perspective of generalist practice of social work to raise awareness among university youth about the dangers of online betting, by raising awareness among university youth about the psychological, social, economic, legal, security and ethical dangers. This research belongs to experimental studies. It was based on the experimental approach, as it was applied to an experimental group of university youth, numbering (30) individuals, and the professional intervention program was applied at the Technical Institute of Nursing, Assiut University, in the period from (January 2025 AD to June 2025 AD). The research results confirmed the validity of the main hypothesis of the research, which is: “It is expected that there will be significant statistical differences between the average scores of the pre- and post-tests of the experimental group of university youth with regard to the scale of electronic betting risks in favor of the post-test,” and also confirmed the validity of the sub-hypotheses of the research.
