Abstract

This scientific paper aims to analyze the current state of social work education programs in the era of artificial intelligence, in light of international and local quality and accreditation standards, with the goal of assessing their readiness to keep pace with digital transformation and the future labor market. The study originated from observing a gap between recent global trends in social work education and what is currently implemented in Arab academic institutions, which created an urgent need to redesign educational programs based on integrated technological and standard frameworks.
The paper employs a benchmarking analysis approach, utilizing documentary analysis of global and local quality and accreditation standards, and comparing them with the content of existing curricula. The findings indicate that most programs still rely on traditional models of teaching and training, with limited integration of artificial intelligence technologies in curricula and assessment methods. Moreover, the study reveals the absence of a clear framework for the digital competencies required of social workers in smart work environments.
The paper recommends adopting a developmental model that links digital transformation with accreditation standards through curriculum modernization, academic staff capacity-building, and the design of applied digital courses supported by artificial intelligence. This study contributes to enriching Arabic literature on social work education reform and provides a practical scientific reference for higher education institutions seeking international accreditation in social work.
