Abstract

Field training represents the organized process aimed at forming the professional personality of the student by helping him absorb knowledge and providing him with field experiences to achieve integration between the theoretical framework and field practice.
Social service has become an international and even global profession in one way or another, as it is practiced in most countries of the world, although it differs in the methods of its practice from one country to another.
The problem of this research was crystallized in answering the main question: What are the obstacles to field training for graduate students in the framework of international social work?
The study relied on a descriptive analytical study using a comprehensive social survey approach for postgraduate students in their various stages (Master's, Ph.D.) at the Faculty of Social Work, Helwan University.
The study reached a set of results that answered its questions and achieved its specific objectives. It proposed a set of proposals and mechanisms, the most important of which is the need to set professional standards for field training for postgraduate students in line with international standards of social service, and to select some training institutions of an international nature to train postgraduate students in. With the need to develop and link educational curricula for postgraduate students with local and international experiences.
