Abstract

The study aimed to determine the role of NGOs in supporting green jobs to achieve sustainable development in the light of Egypt's Strategic Vision 2030. The analytical descriptive approach was used, and the current study relied on the questionnaire as a study tool, which was applied to all members of NGOs interested in the field of development and the environment in Fayoum Governorate The study concluded that there is a need for modifications in lifestyles through continuous awareness of the importance of green jobs to encourage sustainable use of resources in order to promote environmental issues by relying on green manufacturing that reduces waste and pollution. The study also confirms the need to develop the education and training of employees and workers in NGOs, which affects them positively on developing work strategies in a professional manner. The study also confirms that the greater the number of green jobs, the more competitiveness will be achieved to achieve economic development without causing any harm to the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to establish (environmentally friendly) projects, and to establish and develop green industries. The study also found proposals to reduce the effects of obstacles that limit the effectiveness of green jobs, so that the environment is more sustainable. In the end, the study came up with a proposed conception of social service to activate the role of civil associations in consolidating green jobs to achieve sustainable development.
