Abstract

The study aimed to identify mechanisms for improving the professional competencies of social workers working in university youth care agencies. The study relied on the scientific method through a comprehensive social survey of social workers working in youth care agencies in colleges and institutes of Zagazig University, which consists of (85) specialists. This study belongs to type Descriptive studies. The study also used a measurement form on “Mechanisms for Improving the Professional Competencies of Social Workers Working in University Youth Care Services.” After ensuring the validity and reliability of the tool, the researcher used weighted ratios, weighted weights, relative strength, and average to describe the respondents’ responses to the study’s questions to extract and analyze the results, and the results resulted Related to social workers’ responses regarding mechanisms for improving professional competencies regarding the following: The level of professional competencies of social workers working in youth care agencies increased with a relative strength of (76.98%) The level of scientific professional competencies of social workers working in youth care agencies increased with a relative strength of (87.61%). The level of administrative professional competencies among social workers working in youth care agencies increased with a relative strength of (76.94%).
