The effectiveness of the professional observation tool in the general practice of social work at the level of small and large units

Abstract

Social work depends on several tools, such as interviews, observation, and group discussion. Observation is considered a professional tool that the group specialist needs while working with humanitarian units (small units and large units). This study focuses on the observation tool, as it is an essential means in the guidance process, whether carried out by a professional guide or a person. Another person who performs it then analyzes and interprets it and suggests what he sees to the professional counselor. This study represents knowledge of the facts, experiences, and information from the reality of the positions, actions, and current situation of the beneficiaries, whether they are members or interacting, to record all the desired positions, Its results concluded that observation is very necessary in the social worker’s dealings and in All different situations, and that social service is constantly evolving and depends on the use of observation in light of modern and advanced technology, and that the observation tool is effective in the general practice of social work (such as dealing with small units - large units).
