Effectiveness of a Cognitive Behavioral Program in Case Work in Alleviating from School Bullying for School Retarded Pupils at Preparatory Phase

Abstract

            The school bullying phenomenon is considered one of the most violence shapes spreading in schools with different degrees. Moreover, bullying is a problem with educational, emotional, personal, social and behavioral dimensions which are very dangerous and have negative results on the cognitive, emotional, social and psychological growth for pupils in private and the school environment in general. Therefore, the current study aimed to know the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral program in case work in alleviating of school bullying for school retarded students at preparatory phase. The study depended on the experimental method by using pre-post experiment by using one group. The study used the school bullying measure with deliberate sample consisting of (10) school retarded pupils in Ali Mubarak Prep School for Boys in Dekerness, Dakahlia Governorate. The study results demonstrated the validity of the main hypothesis of study which says: “There are statistical significance morale differences between the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral program in case work in alleviating school bullying for school retarded pupils at preparatory phase of school bullying (verbal – physical – sexual) in favor of post measure.
